After a hard-fought victory in court, exposing corruption within DSS and surviving the threat of a child predator, I step into what I believe should be a new chapter of my life. I have fought through the system, endured things no mother should ever have to endure, and finally reached a place where I can begin putting my family back together. I believe the courtroom victory will be the beginning of peace. Instead, it becomes the beginning of another battle.

My children finally return home, but coming home does not mean everything goes back to normal. The separation has left wounds that cannot simply be erased because we are together again. We all have to learn how to live with what happened, how to heal from the trauma, and how to find our way back to one another. As a mother, I am trying to hold my children together while carrying my own pain at the same time. I want to give them the safety, stability, and childhood they deserve, even though I know they have already been through far too much.

Then, just as I am trying to rebuild our lives, I find myself forced to navigate a toxic new karmic family dynamic that brings another layer of conflict, confusion, and emotional turmoil into our lives. What I thought would be a season of healing becomes another test of how much a person can endure while still trying to remain a good mother and hold on to herself.

I am battling severe heart failure, followed by even more grim news that I never could have prepared myself to hear. My health deteriorates, and my life takes a terrifying turn when I suddenly fall into an epic coma. I eventually face two major heart surgeries, while still trying to be present for my children and protect them from the fear and uncertainty surrounding my health. There is no convenient time to become seriously ill when you are a mother. There is no moment when the children stop needing you because your body is failing you. Even while facing my own mortality, I am still thinking about them, still worrying about them, and still trying to be the mother they need.

A deeply jealous and unstable ex-wife launches relentless smear campaigns, cyberbullying, and spiritual attacks rooted in dark manipulation and witchcraft. The attacks become another battle I am forced to face while already struggling with my health, my family, and everything I have survived before. What happens behind closed doors begins reaching into other parts of my life, creating fear, confusion, and pressure that I cannot simply walk away from.

Then long-buried revelations begin to surface about a previous family who had also targeted me through deception and occult practices. Things I did not fully understand at the time begin to take on a different meaning as pieces of the past come back into the light. The more I uncover, the more I realize that surviving one battle did not mean the war was over.

As my health continues to deteriorate, the danger becomes even more personal and unpredictable. I endure random assaults, escalating threats, and eventually a kidnapping. Each experience forces me to confront the same question in different ways: how much more can one person survive?

I had already fought to expose the truth in a system that was supposed to protect children. I had already fought to bring my children home. I had already survived the courtroom, the separation, the fear, and the uncertainty. I thought winning meant I could finally put the fight behind me.

I was wrong.

Covered In The Ashes is the story of what happens after the victory everyone believes should have been the ending. It is the story of discovering that sometimes surviving the battle does not mean the war is finished. Sometimes the hardest part begins when everyone else believes you should finally be safe.
